New Orleans Invades Ptown

Carnival week is coming up quick (August 11th – 18th) and my favorite part of this annual celebration is the gigantically colorful parade that caps of this hot week of events, parties and adventures. This year, the Mardi Gras by the Sea parade will be celebrating its 40th anniversary on Thursday the 16th with floats, amazing costumes and thousands of visitors. At 3pm parade participants will leave from the Harbor Hotel on Commercial Street and will proceed to Franklin Street, basically from the East End to West End. If you’re thinking about joining the festivities this year, and I hope you do, plan on getting in early because there are supposed to be somewhere around 90,000 visitors in town! And remember this year’s theme, Mardi Gras by the Sea when selecting your costumes…..I can’t wait to see all the creativity.

Wanna get psyched up for the party? Check out Droning Provincetown’s music video of last year’s Carnival here!

Have fun and stay safe everyone!
